Daniel Ashman of Isabella enlisted in company K, First Sharpshooters, as Corporal, 18 May 1863 at Isabella for 3 years, age 17. Mustered 26 May 1863. Taken prisoner while charging the enemy's works before Petersburg, VA, 17 Jun 1864. Died in prison at Andersonville, GA.
